On-Site Sodium Hypochlorite Generation Systems

Electrochlorination provides a method of manufacturing Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCL) on-site via the principle of "electrolysis" and the basic components are:
Salt + Water + Electrical Power --> Sodium Hypochlorite (Na0CL) + H2

The NaOCL produced is of low concentration (0.7 to 0.8 %) and as such is not considered a hazardous chemical. Standard ClorTec systems can meet various client requirements and production ranges from 1kg/day to 136kg/day chlorine equivalent. However, much larger systems can be designed and supplied to meet the client's specification.

The ClorTec systems are modular in design which allows for ease of service and expansion potential. The hydrogen by-product is disposed of via sophisticated blower mechanisms. The systems are supplied complete with Softener, Salt Saturator, Electrolysers, Blowers & Electrical Control Panel. Additional items such as product storage tank and dosing pumps can be sized and supplied as options.
